<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meter system which has improved installation workability and convenience by separately providing a prepay unit including a display part and displaying various information of a meter by wireless communication. <P>SOLUTION: A terminal unit 7 transmits second information 15 including an available amount read from a storage medium 8 by reading/writing means 9, to a meter 1 via second communication means 10. The meter 1 adds the available amount in the second information 15 received via first communication means 5, to an available residual amount stored in storage means 3 and stores the addition result and transmits first information 14 including the available residual mount to the terminal unit 7.
