The group of inventions relates to the manufacture and use of passenger conveyors such as escalators and moving walkways, inter alia with complex curved, spiral (helical) and other trajectories, as well as to devices for displaying advertising and other information, preferably to be viewed from the aforementioned passenger conveyors. The information display device is in the form of at least one display which extends along the passenger conveyor, said display being designed so that at least one unit of predominantly visual information can be displayed thereon and can move therealong, wherein the rate of movement of the unit of information is commensurable with the rate of movement of the conveyor. The display is composed of separate interconnected modules or is flexible and can be fastened along the passenger conveyor. The aforementioned displays can be disposed on both sides of the passenger conveyor and also above the conveyor.
