PURPOSE: A vending machine using truss structure is provided to enable a person to pick up a beverage from the access area without needing to bend down by using a pedal. CONSTITUTION: As a person works a pedal, the slide joint of four-bar mechanism is pushed to the left. The vertical height of truss structure increases while the width of it is shortened. The increase of height of the truss structure enables a person to pick up a beverage from the access area without needing to bend down.
