<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict in advance whether or not a patient with hepatocyte carcinoma, or a patient with renal cell carcinoma has a complete response to Sorafenib, thereby allowing Sorafenib to be administered appropriately and improving the therapeutic effect. <P>SOLUTION: FGF-3 gene amplification is detected by extracting genomic DNA from a sample of a subject, and serving it to the real time quantitative PCR.
