<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibrational-rotational rate sensor and an operation method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: A vibrational-rotational rate sensor includes a dual axis rotational rate sensor including two vibrating bodies that are connected to a restoration element and are driven by a resonant antiphase movement. The vibrating bodies have inverse amplitude along an identical but single axis and vibrate. A vibration structure has movement of the vibrating bodies in a plane perpendicular to a vibrating shaft. Measurement of the dual axis movement of the vibrating bodies in the plane provides a signal directly responding to rotation of a sensor around two perpendicular axes. The measurement and the drive are realized by utilization of a magnetic body, electromagnetic drive, and a detection transducer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
