<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyarylate resin or the like, in which the amount of residual halogen derived from carboxylic halide terminals is reduced, in interfacial polymerization of polyarylate. <P>SOLUTION: The polyarylate resin is obtained by interfacial polycondensation reaction of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid component with an aromatic dihydric alcohol component, in which a carboxylic acid halide terminal represented by general formula (1) is 10 ppm or less in terms of weight ratio relative to the polyarylate resin, (wherein PAR represents polyarylate chain, and X represents a halogen atom). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
