<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect that the amount of liquid absorbed by a liquid absorber in a waste liquid tank becomes equal to or more than a predetermined one. <P>SOLUTION: Two intermediate tanks 22a and 22b are provided between a suction cap 21 and the waste liquid tank 25. Black ink and three color inks discharged from an inkjet head 4 are temporarily stored in the intermediate tanks 22a and 22b, respectively. The black ink and the three color inks stored in the intermediate tanks 22a and 22b are transferred to the waste liquid tank 25 at a predetermined ratio R1, and the ink with mixture of the black ink and the three color inks at the predetermined ratio R1 is absorbed by the ink absorption foam 42 in the waste liquid tank 25. A pair of electrodes 43a and 43b opposite to each other is inserted into the ink absorption foam 42, so that conductivity of a portion sandwiched between the electrodes 43a and 43b of the ink absorption foam 42 can be detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
