<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a risk prediction method capable of detecting a risk in an integrated manner to execute a risk avoiding action, and a robot for executing risk prediction by the method. <P>SOLUTION: The risk detection method includes: a detection process for acquiring detection values of sensors provided in a device; a risk calculation process for calculating a risk from the detection values; a portion risk determination process for determining the safety of a portion mounted with the sensor therein by comparing the risk with a safety threshold; a total risk calculation process for multiplying each of the risk by a weighting factor to determine the total risk totaling corrected risk multiplied by the weighting factor; and a total risk determination process for determining a total risk by comparing the total risk with a total risk threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
