<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buckle for a product that requires a strong fastening force. <P>SOLUTION: The buckle is adapted such that a band can approach the buckle but cannot retreat in a locked state where an engagement prong 21 of the buckle 11 is engaged with a serrated engagement groove formed on the outer surface of the band. The buckle includes a buckle body having a bottom plate 11 and a top frame 12, and both side plates that connect the facing bottom plate and top frame, with the interior serving as an insertion space for the band, and an operation plate 20 horizontally installed inside the top frame and having, at the lower face of one end, the engagement prong that can be engaged with the engagement groove of the band, while forming the other end as a pressing part for releasing the engagement. The operation plate is supported by a connecting shaft 25 for connecting both side plates at an intermediate point between the engagement prong and the pressing part. The operation plate is thereby swingable around the intermediate point serving as a fulcrum. A sliding piece horizontally movable on the upper part of the operation plate is installed at the buckle body 14, and the swing of the operation plate is regulated in a state where the sliding piece 40 has moved to one end side of the operation plate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
