PURPOSE: An in-plane switching mode liquid crystal display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce the number of masks and to maintain constantly a gap between a pixel electrode and a data line by forming the pixel electrode and the data line by one mask process. CONSTITUTION: A pixel electrode(130) is electrically connected to a thin film transistor. The pixel electrode is formed which is made of the same material as one layer of a data line(102). The gap between the pixel electrode and the data line is constantly maintained. A passivation layer(140) is arranged on a substrate. Common electrodes(150) are overlapped with the pixel electrode on the passivation layer. The common electrodes are formed with a constant interval. |
