MICROPOROUS LAYER SHEET FOR FUEL CELL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

This microporous layer sheet for fuel cells comprises at least two microporous layers laminated on a gas diffusion layer base and containing a carbon material and a binder. This microporous layer sheet for fuel cells is characterized in that the binder content in the first microporous layer arranged on the gas diffusion layer base is lower than the binder contents in the microporous layers other than the first microporous layer. This microporous layer sheet for fuel cells is capable of ensuring gas permeability and drainage performance without being decreased in strength. Consequently, application of this microporous layer sheet for fuel cells to a gas diffusion layer contributes to performance improvement of a solid polymer fuel cell.
