<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quenching device that can effectively cooling a workpiece when quenching the workpiece while suppressing equipment cost. <P>SOLUTION: The quenching device includes: a laser oscillator 4 (heating means) for heating each tooth of a gear wheel 2 (workpiece); and cooling jigs 5, 5 for coming into contact with the gear wheel 2 so as to interpose the gear wheel 2 therebetween from both upper and lower sides, and cooling the gear wheel 2, thereby effectively cooling each tooth of the gear wheel 2 when quenching each tooth of the gear wheel 2 while suppressing equipment cost. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
