<p>The invention is a bicycle/scooter hybrid, the purpose thereof being to help the user balance better on the pedal-powered vehicle, with comfortable, upright posture, allowing the use thereof with any type of footwear. To that end, it is constituted from a frame (1) with two wheels (3-4), a front wheel and another, rear wheel, and front handlebars (2), with the special feature that, on said frame, and on one of the sides, there are two pedal and bottom bracket bearing assembly unit, each formed by horizontal shafts (10-10') and both at the same height, each of which incorporates a plate (5-6), the two plates of the front pedal and bottom bracket bearing assembly unit and of the rear pedal and bottom bracket bearing assembly unit being connected by a transmission chain (7). The rear pedal and bottom bracket bearing assembly unit shaft includes, furthermore, another plate (12) that, by means of a chain (13) transmits the movement to a pinion (14) provided on the rear-wheel axle. The shafts of both pedal and bottom bracket bearing assembly units (front and rear) are each articulated to lateral pairs of connecting rods (8), each pair being connected to a platform (11) such that the two lateral platforms move upwards and downwards through the action of the two pedal and bottom bracket bearing assembly units.</p> |
