<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a logical circuit suitable for microfabrication and performing arithmetic processing, which can hold potential input immediately before a power source is turned off even when the power source is turned off during execution of arithmetic processing, and provide a semiconductor device having the logical circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A logical circuit comprises: an input terminal and an output terminal; a major logical circuit part electrically connected with the input terminal and the output terminal; and a switching element electrically connected with the input terminal and the major logical circuit part. A first terminal of the switching element is electrically connected with the input terminal and a second terminal of the switching element is electrically connected with a gate of one and more transistors composing the major logical circuit. The switching element is a transistor having leakage current in an off-state of not more than 1×10<SP POS="POST">-17</SP>A per channel width of 1 μm.
