<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device which satisfies basic functions that can accurately set the collapse load when a steering wheel performs collapse move to a vehicle body forward side by impact force at a secondary collision, and easy fitting of the outer column and the inner column with high holding rigidity without the backlash. <P>SOLUTION: When a driver collides with the steering wheel at the secondary next collision and a big impact force acts, a shaft 71 of a shear pin 70 shears and the inner column 20 performs the collapse move to a vehicle body forward side. The collapse load becomes easy to be accurately set when the inner column 20 performs collapse move to the vehicle body forward side since the impact energy is absorbed by the shearing force of the shaft 71. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
