<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an electronic apparatus and an information processing method with which, for example, information indicating a status of processing a content can more precisely indicate an actual processing status. <P>SOLUTION: A content processing part of the electronic apparatus processes a content stored in a recording medium. Before the content processing part completes processing of the content, a first control part of the electronic apparatus controls status information indicating a processing status of the content stored in the recording medium to be changed from first information indicating a processing status of the content before the start of the processing by the content processing part to second information indicating a processing status of the content after the completion of the processing by the content processing part.
