<p>A switch system comprises a first buffer unit and a second buffer unit, each buffer unit further comprising the same number of buffers. The switch system: writes data to one of the buffers of the first buffer unit, according to a prescribed condition; outputs data from one of the buffers of the first buffer unit, according to a prescribed condition; measures a data accumulation quantity in each buffer of the first buffer unit; outputs a result of the measurement at a time whereat a switch commencement instruction signal is received; writes inputted data to one of the buffers of the second buffer unit according to the same condition as for the first buffer; repeatedly estimates the data accumulation quantity in each buffer of the first buffer unit after receiving the switch commencement instruction signal on the basis of the outputted measurement result; and controls the second buffer such that, on the basis of the estimation result, the accumulation quantity of each buffer of the first buffer unit matches the accumulation quantity of each buffer of the second buffer unit.</p> |
