The component (21) has plate-shaped and dimensionally stable formed wall segments (22,22') that are connected via corner element (23). A polygonal cross-section of component is provided at segments in use position. The corner elements are extended in component longitudinal direction. The segments are connected through hinge-like joint (27), so that segments are pivoted from use position into transport position in which segments are folded and lying on one another. The segments are formed from dense, heat insulating and fire-resistant fiber material, composite material or hard foam.
