All group 2 (15-25 Kg about 3-7 years of age) car seats sold use the adult seat belt strap to secure it and the occupant in place, the seat belt crosses from the shoulder to the opposite hip then across the lap to the other hip then to the anchor point. A safety strap is provided. The safety strap is attached to the existing adult seat belt strap at the anchor point and then crosses from one hip to the opposite shoulder so now the child has two straps crossing each other across the chest. The safetyl strap then passes around the back of the seat and is attached to the existing adult car seat strap using a specially designed slide through end plate. The fixed length safety strap stops the occupant from falling forward in the seat. |
