[Class 113 (ii).] In a collapsable boat with an outer canvas or fabric skin with pocket-like ends, the inner structure comprises a flat-base 3 which is provided with a central joint. Nose pieces 2 are connected to the bottom by struts 5 with inwardlybreaking knuckle-joints and through transverse members are connected to removable gunnel-rods 7 which are spaced from the base 3 by struts 12. Locking-devices retain the struts and base in their extended positions and the latter may be provided with counter flap hinges.</p> |
