[Class 78 (i).] A shoot for use in loading coal, &c. comprises a plurality of sections which are releasably connected with each other end to end in order that the length may be varied during loading by removing or adding individual sections. A pin 8 is provided on the underside of one end of one section 1 for engagement in a hole at the adjacent end of the next section 2, and if it is desired to support adjacent sections in stepped relation, the hole 10 is formed in a plate 11 disposed at a distance above the bottom of the section. Each section is supported independently from a derrick by a sling 6. |
