<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telescopic shaft for a vehicle steering mechanism that improves anti-creep property and generates less rattle, and whose processing cost is low. <P>SOLUTION: This telescopic shaft for the vehicle steering mechanism, which is assembled into the steering mechanism of a vehicle, includes a male shaft 21 and a female shaft, which are fitted to each other in such a way that they may not be rotated but slidable.
