[Class 132 (ii).] An appliance for facilitating the selection of golf clubs comprises a head pivoted to a shaft so as to be capable of adjustment to vary its angle thereto, and means for indicating the angle of " lie " in any adjusted position of the head. The device comprises a telescopic shaft 4, 5, the parts of which are held in adjusted position by a clamping nut 6, the adjusted length of the shaft being indicated by graduations 9 on the lower part of the shaft read in conjunction with the lower edge 10 of the upper part. The shaft fits into a socket 14 to which a head 22 is pivoted, the angle between the head and shaft being indicated by a pointer 17 connected by a link 16 to the head and registering with a chart 20. The head is locked in adjusted position by a clamping nut 19 on the pivot bolt of the pointer. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 241,091, [Class 132 (ii)].</p> |
