摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for saccharifying cellulose and/or hemicelluloses in cellulosic biomass into monosaccharides and oligosaccharides with subcritical high temperature high pressure water in excellent heat efficiency and in saccharide yields in a state reduced in the temperature changes of pressure containers. <P>SOLUTION: When cellulose or hemicelluloses are saccharified into saccharides with subcritical state high temperature high pressure water, a slurry in a pressure container of the high temperature high pressure state are flash-evaporated into a pressure container into which the slurry of a cellulosic biomass is charged and heated, thereby quenching a large amount of the slurry to a state not reaching the subcritical state, preventing the excessive hydrolysis of the saccharides into organic acids, and recovering heat energy to save the energy. Since the series of the processes are carried out with three kinds of pressure containers, the change in the temperature of each pressure container is reduced, and costs for making the pressure containers can be lowered. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p>
