The device (1) has an actuator (9) that is provided to prevent the predefined translation change in operating modes. The rotational movement (16) of the switching shaft (2) prevents the operative connection between the actuator and the switching shaft. A slidable operating portion (11) of the actuator is engaged with an oblong hole and the switching shaft is connected to the main portion in one operating mode of the actuator.
