The invention relates to a rotatable attachment (3) for a hairstyling apparatus (1) for styling hair, in particular for forming curls or waves, having at least two finger-like projections (8, 8') for winding the hair to be styled, wherein the projections (8, 8') define a strand guiding channel (9) running therebetween and have rounded hair contact surfaces (10, 10'). Essential to the invention is that at least the hair contact surfaces (10, 10') of the projections (8, 8') are designed so that introduction of curls when hair strands are placed is possible independently of the rotation direction (11) of the attachment (3) without kinks occurring in the hair. According to the invention, handling in particular of the hairstyling apparatus can be thus simplified.
