The fire protection device (1) has a component (4) which is lined with insulating material (8). A balancing unit (10) for displacement movement of the component relative to the wall structure (3), is arranged between the component and the insulation material in the event of fire which foams fireproofing material. The balancing device is attached in the vicinity of outer side of the wall structure on the component.
