<p>Provided is a digital video signal output device for outputting digital video signals to a display device for displaying pictures. The digital video signal output device captures display capability data having described therein video-data structure such as a 3D format and the like from the digital video display device. The digital video signal output device is configured to select one video-data structure from at least one video-data structure, superimpose packet data including structural information that designates the selected video-data structure, during a blanking period of a digital video signal including video data based on the selected video-data structure, and transmits, as a digital video output signal, a signal obtained as a result of the superimposing.</p> |
