The battery (1) has a separator sheet (5) and a network-grid (7) arranged between a plate-shaped positive electrode (4) and a plate-shaped negative electrode (3). The network-grid serves as a spacer and is formed as a flat-commodity in a form of a sheet from cross-threaded and welded-together threads. Distance between the electrodes is determined by a thickness of cross points of the network-grid, where the cross points are formed from the welded-together threads. The separator sheet and network-grid are made of polyethylene. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a battery. |
