PURPOSE: A wireless electric power transmitting device and a method thereof are provided to prevent power waste by adjusting transmitting power according to the existence and proximity of a receiver. CONSTITUTION: A transmitting coil unit(21) generates a magnetic field by the power supply from a power source. A transmitting resonance coil unit(22) transmits a magnetic field to a receiving coil. A detection unit detects whether the receiving coil generating an induced electromotive force is near or not. The detection unit detects the intensity of a magnetic field transmitted from the transmitting resonance coil unit. A power controlling unit(12) controls the output of the electric power source supplying electric power.
