PURPOSE: A cargo hold for a liquefied gas carrier ship is provided to protect a cargo hold from sloshing shock to remove the thermal stress of a shock-absorbing layer by coupling lower and upper insulation panel structures. CONSTITUTION: A cargo hold for a liquefied gas carrier ship comprises a main barrier(10), an upper insulation panel structure(22), a lower insulation panel structure(21), and an outer wall(20). The main barrier surrounds a liquefied gas storage space. The upper insulation panel structure surrounds the main barrier. The lower insulation panel structure surrounds the upper insulation panel structure. The outer wall surrounds the lower insulation panel structure. An auxiliary barrier and a shock-absorbing layer are arranged between the upper and lower insulation panel structures. The auxiliary barrier is placed on the lower insulation panel structure. The shock-absorbing layer is placed on the auxiliary barrier. The upper insulation panel structure, the shock-absorbing layer, the auxiliary barrier, and the lower insulation panel structure are coupled by a coupling unit in a Z-axis direction.
