PURPOSE: A composition of a plasma electrolytic oxidation solution for forming a ceramic coating on the surface of a magnesium alloy product is provided to easily obtain a coating adhesive force for a Si and ceramic-based coating agent by adding sodium tetrasilicate. CONSTITUTION: A composition of a plasma electrolytic oxidation solution for forming a ceramic coating on the surface of a magnesium alloy product is prepared by mixing KOH and sodium tetrasilicate into a base solution. The base solution is produced by mixing 1-30 wt% of NaOH, 1-10 wt% of K2ZrF6, 1-10 w.% of ZrOCl2, 1-5 wt% of MgAl2O4, 1-15 wt% of K3[Fe(CN)6], and 1-20 wt% of Na2HPO4 into 100 wt% of water. 4-7 g of KOH and 2-9 g of sodium tetra silicate are mixed into 1L of the base solution.
