PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling active noise and a method thereof are provided to shorten learning time as possible and to effectively operate the technology of noise removal algorism. CONSTITUTION: A learning module(110) of a noise canceller(100) estimates unknown impulse response from a generated learning signal. A noise cancellation module(120) of the noise canceller removes a noise signal from an estimated impulse response. A sound converter(200) receives a learning signal generated in the learning module. A sound sensor(300) receives a learning signal transmitted in the sound converter and a noises signal transmitted in the noise source.
