PURPOSE: A scribing wheel, a manufacturing method thereof, and a scribing method are provided to extend the service life of the scribing wheel and enhance the sectional strength of a brittle substrate cut after scribing. CONSTITUTION: A scribing wheel comprises a scribing wheel base material, a diamond layer(14), and a ground area. The diamond layer is formed at the blade edge of the scribing wheel base material. The ground area is formed by grinding the diamond layer. The scribing wheel base material has a maximum-diameter portion and an inclined surface on the lateral side of a disk.
