PURPOSE: A primer pair and a method for detecting Salmonella enterica subspecies using the same are provided to quickly and accurately detect only Salmonella enterica subspecies. CONSTITUTION: A method for detecting Salmonella enterica subspecies comprises: a step of preparing a sample; a step of amplifying a nucleotide sequence in the sample using primers of sequence numbers 1 and 2; and a step of identifying the amplified resultant. The sample is foods, natural products, or biological samples. A kit for diagnosing Salmonella enterica subspecies-induced diseases contains a primer pair. The disease is food poisoning. The primer pair contains the primers.
