PURPOSE: An electrode for a secondary battery is provided to improve electric performance between a current collector and an active material layer. CONSTITUTION: An electrode comprises a current collector, and an active material layer formed on at least one side of a current collector. The current collector comprises a metal substrate(110a) and a coating layer(110b), which comprises carbon nanotubes, placed on at least one side of the current collector. The length of the carbon nanotubes is 10 micron or less by being chemically etched. The surface of the carbon nanotubes has a plurality of chemical functional groups. The chemical function groups has a peak within 1400-1800 cm^(-1), 3000-3500 cm^(-1) or a combination thereof by an infrared ray-spectroscopic analysis.
