A stereoscopic image display device and a method of driving the same are disclosed. The stereoscopic image display device includes a display device, polarization glasses, a polarization switching element that includes a plurality of scan electrode lines and switches a polarization characteristic of light travelling to the polarization glasses according to a voltage supplied to the scan electrode lines, a driver supplying a first voltage synchronized with a right eye image displayed on the display device and a second voltage synchronized with a left eye image displayed on the display device to the scan electrode lines, and a controller controlling the driver so that a voltage of the scan electrode lines varies from the first voltage to the second voltage along a line of the display device in which the right eye image and the left eye image change. |
