PURPOSE: A portable terminal and control method thereof are provided to successively reproduce first media and second media by downloading the second media while reproducing the first media. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(151) displays media provided from a server. A control unit(180) receives a reproduction command of a first or a second media. The control unit requests the streaming download of the first and the second media to the server through a wireless communication unit. The control unit reproduces the first media downloaded from the server. The control unit displays information which informs the progress of second media streaming download.
