PURPOSE: A cooling device for a ship and a method for preventing the corrosion of a seawater line used in the same are provided to prevent the corrosion of a seawater line by controlling a seawater flow path according to the sailing conditions of a ship. CONSTITUTION: A cooling device for a ship comprises a seawater line, a bypass line(141), a seawater storage tank(2), and a seawater flow control device. The seawater line makes seawater flow between a seawater ship and a heat exchanger. The bypass line is branched from an outlet of the seawater line adjacent to the heat exchanger. The seawater storage tank is connected to the bypass line. The seawater flow control device controls to flow the seawater in at least one of the seawater line and the bypass line based on the temperature of the seawater flowing through the seawater line.
