PURPOSE: A limit management method and a device thereof are provided to set and manage a limit amount corresponding to each use place of a payment means, thereby inducing reasonable consumption of a client. CONSTITUTION: A database(110) stores information for a limit amount of each use place divided corresponding to a kind of a product or a service. When a payment approval request or a payment cancel request is received through a payment means, an information confirmation unit(120) confirms a purchase price and a use place corresponding to the product or the service based on the payment approval request or the payment cancel request. A limit deduction unit(130) approves payment after deducting the limit amount for the use place up to the purchase price based on the payment approval request.
