PURPOSE: A display device and an electronic device are provided to seal a pixel portion in a frame area between a pair of substrates, to form a sealing layer for covering the end part of an insulating layer and to reduce the size of the frame. CONSTITUTION: A pixel portion(10A) is formed between a pair of substrates(10,18). One or more active devices are formed in the frame area(10B). An insulating layer(123a,123b) covers one or more active devices in the frame area. A sealing layer(19) seals the pixel portion in the frame area and covers the end edge portion of the insulating layer. |
