PROPULSION APPARATUS FOR SHIP, AND SHIP HAVING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A propulsion device and a ship with the same are provided to transmit power to a front propeller without using an outer shaft by directly connecting a bevel gear of a counter rotating device and the front propeller. CONSTITUTION: A propulsion device for a ship comprises a rear propeller(20), a front propeller(30), a counter rotating device(70), and a flange part. The rear propeller is fixed in a driving shaft. The front propeller is rotatably supported on the driving shaft. The counter rotating device is installed in the tail end of a hull, reverses the rotation of the driving shaft, and transfers the reversed rotation to the front propeller. The counter rotating device comprises a driving bevel gear, a driven bevel gear, and at least one counter bevel gear. The flange part is installed in the driving shaft to mount the driving bevel gear.
