PURPOSE: A light guide plate and a liquid crystal display including the same are provided to diffuse light uniformly and widely by using the light guide plate including at least one LED groove and at least one diffusion groove. CONSTITUTION: A backlight unit includes at least one LED(Light Emitting Diode) assembly, a reflecting plate, at least one light guide plate(200), a diffusing plate and optical sheets. The liquid crystal panel is located in the upper part of the backlight unit. At least one light guide plate includes a LED groove(212) of a first surface and a diffusion groove(222) of a second surface. The surfaces are symmetry to the diffusion groove. |
