PURPOSE: A device mediating payment or authentication by providing an integrated platform and a method thereof are provided to secure convenience and minimize a platform development expense through an integrated payment/authentication platform connected to various payment means. CONSTITUTION: A payment mediation server obtains information for a user terminal requesting payment or authentication(S110). The payment mediation server selects an authentication payment means used for the payment or the authentication of the user terminal based on the information for the user terminal(S120). The payment mediation server provides an authentication payment module corresponding to the selected authentication payment means to the user terminal(S130). Payment/authentication information is received from the user terminal through the authentication payment module(S140).
