摘要 PURPOSE: A method for optimally processing an N-arrangement query in multirange scan and a device thereof are provided to use a small memory space by immediately calculating an arrangement result in a scan process while minimizing the number of scan target records when the N-arrangement query is received in the multirange scan. CONSTITUTION: A buffer allocating unit(121) allocates a buffer based on the number of extracted records included in a query. A scanning unit(122) extracts first data related to a first attribute from a first list included in the query in order to store the same in the buffer. The scanning unit extracts second data related to the first attribute and compares the data stored in the buffer with the second data in order to update the buffer to satisfy the query. The query is an N-arrangement query in multirange scan for the records arranged based on the first and the second attributes.
