The method involves receiving an indication relative to an alarm generated by the avionics of an aircraft. The data relative to the alarm is extracted and displayed, where the data comprising a link towards an element of a documentation of an aircraft. The documentation comprises a document selected from flight crew operating manual (FCOM), minimum equipment list (MEL), configuration deviation list (CDL) or manual for operating an aircraft and/or performance calculating elements. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program comprising instructions for implementing a method for accessing documentation of an aircraft (2) a device for implementing a method for accessing documentation of the aircraft.
