RESISTOR AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A resistor and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to be easily connected to a printed circuit board by including a second cap with one or more flat surfaces. CONSTITUTION: A resistor(20) is formed by cutting a ceramic rod in a constant length. A film layer is formed on the outer surface of the resistor. A first cap(40) surrounds both ends of the resistor coated by the film layer. A lead wire(50) is soldered on the outer surface of the first cap. The position of the resistor is fixed by using the lead wire. An outside protecting layer is formed on the outer surface of the resistor coated by the film layer. A second cap(70) surrounds the outer surface of the first cap. The second cap is easily mounted on a printed circuit board by having at least one surface. The outside protecting layer electrically connects the first cap and the second cap.
