<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent robot device capable of appropriately detecting the difference between dirt and a scratch on a lens of a camera and the difference between dirt and a scratch on a hand. <P>SOLUTION: The robot device 100 detects a portion in which dirt or a scratch is present using an image of the hand captured by a camera 305 as a reference image. Further, by moving the hand, the robot device determines whether the detected dirt or scratch is due to the lens of the camera 305 or the hand. After assuming that the dirt has been detected and performing a cleaning operation, the robot device 100 detects the difference between the dirt and the scratch on the basis of whether the dirt could be removed or not. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
