<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for exhaust gas aftertreatment for a large two-cylinder diesel engine. <P>SOLUTION: This device for exhaust gas aftertreatment for a large diesel engine comprises: a thin and long exhaust gas manifold with a plurality of inlets 7.1a, 7.1a', 7.1a'', 7.2a, 7.2a' distributed over the longitudinal direction for receiving exhaust gas of the large diesel engine; a thin and long catalyst converter container 8 connected to the exhaust manifold into which a plurality of catalyst converter elements are arranged; and an outlet. The exhaust manifold and the catalyst container are substantially parallel to each other, and separated from each other by a partition wall 9 extending in the longitudinal direction. The exhaust manifold 7 is connected to the catalyst converter container via a port provided in the partition wall, and guides the exhaust gas to respective outlets during an operation through the catalyst converter elements. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
