<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal salt having a protection film forming capability at a positive electrode and useful for an electrode protection film forming agent excellent in safety, and provide an electrode protection film forming agent, a secondary battery electrolyte and further a secondary battery, using the metal salt. <P>SOLUTION: The metal salt comprises a composition (A1) or (A2) and a composition (B).
